Why choose a .WORKS domain?

This word does two things at once, and both of them are useful. First, it names a place of making — the works, the foundry, the yard. It is an old industrial word and it has kept that solidity. Design, animation, video, development. Many creative studios take this word precisely because it suggests a workshop rather than an agency.
