Why choose a .HOLIDAY domain?

Here is a word that changes meaning depending on which ocean you cross. In Britain, a holiday is a trip away: you go on holiday, you rent a holiday cottage. In North America it means a public holiday and, in the plural, the whole of the December season. Both senses are useful, but they do not address the same customer: know which one you are aiming at before you choose.

• It is understood in French too. The word reads without translation there, in the sense of a trip rather than a public holiday.
